Automotive & Ancillary
The Automobile Ancillary Industry has been growing significantly, with large investments in the automobiles, petrochemicals, food processing, engineering and other industries. The contribution of the Automotive and ancillary industry in exports is US $ 450million.

Granite & Dimensional Stone
India has one of the largest reserves of the natural stones in the world and can become a major source of supply to the international markets. Share of India's exports in the world imports of granite is 2.6 percent. On the export front, the annual contribution from the Granite industry, at present, now amounts to around US $ 350 million.

The Bicycle & Component industry in India is having a prmising future considering the size of the country and growing environmental hazard. The Industry, however, has been trying to keep pace with state of the art technology.
Forgings & Casting
Metal art has been a tradition in India for centuries and dates back to the Harappan period (2300-1750 B.C.). India has developedmetal casting techniques to fabricate artefacts from oxidized bronze and other non-ferrous alloys. Today, India is a major producer of forgings and castings not only for its own requirement but also for exports.
Electronics
The component industry in India has grown mainly in step with the consumer electronics indusrty. The resurgence of the consumer electronics sector has had a favourable effect on the demand for components. There has been a significant growth in the production of telecommunication equipment.
Electrical & Power
During the last five decades, India has made commendable progress in the field of Energy. The installed capacity has increased to 86000 MW by March ,1997, an increase by 50 times. The power sector , has been trying to keep pace with state-of-art technology and is today capable of undertaking trunkey projects not only in India, but abroad as well.
Hardware
The hardware industry in India has diversified its product range during last few years. Production of hardware items in the country is estimated at US$ 264.41 million. About 1600 companies produce a wide variety od products in steel, brass, aluminium and zinc.
